What is BACKSPIN?

BACKSPIN is a newsletter about trying to make it as a music producer in the gaps between real life.

Hi, I’m Paul - I make electronic music in between the usual stuff… family, school runs, long dog walks, and everything else that fills the day.

No studio, no late nights, no club life. Just small pockets of time, a lot of trial and error and an obsession with learning to make great music.

This is where I share what I’m building, what’s working, what isn’t, and the tracks that come out of it.

I mainly make tech house, melodic techno and trance. One day I’ll find the perfect lane to stick to but until then, I’m going to experiment and have fun.
